Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 of the Indonesian National Police arrested two suspected terrorists in Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/06/2021). Chief of General Information Board of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, explained that on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 10.00 this morning, Jakarta and Bangka Belitung Regional Unit of Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 have arrested two suspected terrorists. Both suspected terrorists are initialled BS and SY. They are strongly suspected of joining the Jamaah Anshorut Daulah (JAD). "The preliminary investigation result shows that this group is the part of Jamaah Anshorut Daulah group", Chief of General Information Board of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police said. Chief of General Information Board of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police added that the two suspected terrorists would be sent to the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Headquarter. Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 is still investigating the confession of both newly-arrested suspected terrorists. "Two suspects are now still investigated by Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 and would be brought to Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Headquarter", Chief of General Information Board of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police said.
