inp.polri.go.id - The Trisakti University Criminal Law Lecturer, Azmi Syahputra, conveyed that the reconstruction of the Brigadier J murder case in Duren Tiga today aims to clearly illustrate the occurrence of a crime.
This reconstruction will be able to clearly describe the qualifying role of the suspects.
"Investigators will make an official report on the reconstruction. From this report, the real position or role of the suspects, as well as what tools were used as evidence in the crime will be clear. The results of this reconstruction can also determine the evidence," said Azmi, on Tuesday (30/08/2022).
Azmi explained that reconstruction is one of the examination method in criminal cases. In this case, it will be demonstrated again how the suspect committed a crime or saw the malification of the witness' statements about the events in Duren Tiga
"Usually the results will be stated in the official report, the purpose of which is to get a clear picture of the occurrence of the crime and to test the suitability and truth of witness statements and their relevance to the evidence found by investigators," said Azmi.
Reconstruction will also assist investigators and public prosecutors in making adjustments to actions, statements, evidence, and facts so that they become clear and identical.
