Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. In the highlands of Central Papua, members of the Damai Cartenz Task Force were taking a heartfelt approach to their mission—this time by focusing on the youngest members of the community. In the town of Mulia, Puncak Jaya.
Task Force officers spent the day engaging with children through warm and friendly interactions meant to bridge the gap between security forces and local residents.
“We’re working to build trust with the community, especially with children—the future generation—so they feel safe, seen, and supported,” said Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, the Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, on Saturday (3/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The outreach effort included handing out snacks, school supplies, and simple toys—small gifts that sparked joy and excitement among the children. But more than the items themselves, it was the shared laughter and play that left a lasting impact. Officers joined the children in games and light-hearted fun, creating moments of connection and comfort.
According to Chie fFaizal, these human-centered activities are a vital part of maintaining peace and stability in Papua.
“We want to show that our presence isn't just about enforcing security. We’re here to bring a message of peace and care,” he said.
Chief Faizal added that these gestures of goodwill are part of a broader strategy to foster mutual trust and build stronger community relationships, especially in regions where tensions can run high.
