Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesia’s campaign in the 2025 Sudirman Cup came to an end after a narrow 2-3 defeat against South Korea in the semifinals at the Fenghuang Gymnasium, Xiamen, China, on Saturday (3/5/2025).

The loss came in the women’s doubles, where Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti were beaten 10-21, 21-18, 15-21 by South Korea’s Baek Ha Na and Lee So Hee. Despite putting up a fight in the second game, the Indonesian pair couldn’t withstand the pressure in the decider, according to antaranews.com.

Earlier, mixed doubles pair Dejan Ferdinansyah and Siti Fadia also lost to Seo Seung Jae and Chae Yu Jung. Alwi Farhan kept Indonesia in the fight with a win in men’s singles, while Bagas Maulana and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri leveled the tie at 2-2 with a victory in men’s doubles.

However, the final blow was dealt in the women’s doubles, marking the end of Indonesia's journey in this year’s tournament.
