Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Economic activities at the Sinak Market in Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Papua Mountains, proceeded smoothly on Saturday morning (11/7/2026) as personnel from the Damai Cartenz Task Force conducted proactive dialogue patrols.
The operational teams maintained a visible yet accessible presence, moving through the market stalls to engage directly with local traders, small business owners, and shoppers regarding the regional security situation.
Security forces set up a fluid foot-patrol perimeter early in the day, walking through the commercial hubs to gather real-time feedback from the community. The open layout of the patrol ensured that daily transactions and regional commerce could continue uninterrupted without raising local anxieties.
Damai Cartenz Task Force Chief Inspector General Faizal Ramadhani said that safeguarding public commercial hubs is a vital element of the command’s overarching strategy to preserve economic and social stability in Central Papua.
"Security is the primary foundation for the growth of community economic activities," he said. "Therefore, we continue to deploy personnel directly into public spaces through humanistic patrols so that citizens feel safe going about their daily routines, whether selling goods, shopping, or managing family affairs. The presence of the state must be genuinely felt and beneficial to the community."
Damai Cartenz Task Force Deputy Operations Chief Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga added that these targeted dialogue patrols serve as a vital preventative mechanism to maintain regional stability. He reiterated that maintaining continuous, open channels of communication between field officers and the public allows the task force to detect potential security disruptions early on and address localized concerns constructively.
Yohanes Wenda, a local vendor operating out of the market, shared that the routine presence of the law enforcement task force provided a strong sense of stability for everyday business operations. He noted that stable security directly drives customer foot traffic to the market, allowing vendors to earn a stable livelihood and support their families without fear of disruption.
