Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Danantara Operational Director Dony Oskaria said on Tuesday (28/4/2026) that 167 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) have been liquidated over the past year.
It is a part of a broad government mandate to transform the nation's business landscape by streamlining 1,077 state entities into approximately 200 to 300 companies to ensure better efficiency.
"The total number liquidated as of today is approximately 167 companies," Dony said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He said that the downsizing process, ordered by President Prabowo Subianto, is scheduled for full completion by 2026.
Beyond liquidation, the strategy involves divestment, restructuring, and sector-based consolidation. Dony added that assets in the hospitality, logistics, and management sectors are being merged to achieve economies of scale.
These efforts coincide with the formation of the Danantara Sovereign Wealth Fund, which aims to consolidate national assets and increase global competitiveness through a mandatory inter-BUMN collaboration framework.
