Inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. The death toll from the sinking of the Tiga Putra tourist boat off Malabero Beach, Bengkulu, has risen to eight, after one more victim succumbed to injuries late Monday (12/5/2025).

Silvia Alvionita (27), from Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong Regency, died at 8.30 pm local timein the ICU of Bhayangkara Hospital, confirmed Dr. Debby, the Deputy Head of the hospital.

“The victim had remained unconscious since being evacuated and admitted,” she said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The boat, carrying 104 passengers, capsized on Sunday afternoon. Earlier, seven fatalities had been confirmed, including victims from South Sumatra, Jambi, West Sumatra, and various Bengkulu regions.

Bengkulu Regional Police investigators conducted a crime scene analysis on Monday, with the Indonesian Automatic Fingerprint Identification System in Bengkulu.  securing the wreckage and police tape installed on the vessel.
