Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Defense confirmed Thursday (29/1/2026) that a luxury Porsche Cayenne bearing a ministry license plate is not an official government vehicle. 

Security personnel intercepted the SUV at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Wednesday during a routine inspection, discovering that the plate number, 50212-00, was forged and absent from the national defense inventory.

"We do not tolerate the unauthorized use of official attributes; every finding will be coordinated with law enforcement for strict prosecution," said Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait, the Ministry’s Head of Public Relations and Information, as reported by antaranews.com.

Following the verification, authorities detained the driver and impounded the vehicle before transferring the case to the East Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police. 

The Ministry filed an official criminal report to address the misuse of state symbols and deter similar fraudulent activities.
