Directorate of Drugs Investigation of North Sumatra Regional Police Thwarted Distribution of 10 Kilograms of Amphetamine

The 34-year-old man from Pantun Labu city, North Aceh regency, Aceh province, was arrested at Yos Sudarso street of Tebing Tinggi city, North Sumatra, on Thursday night (26/8/21). Chief of PR and Press Agency of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Wahyudi, confirmed the arrest. The arrest was started from public information regarding a person named Wanda who could provide amphetamine. From the information, the officers were then investigating. "From the information gathered, our officers then investigate the case", Chief of PR and Press Agency of North Sumatra Regional Police said. Chief of PR and Press Agency of North Sumatra Regional Police continued that the officers were then conducting undercover operations as the amphetamine buyer. The undercover cop then came to Wanda to order the amphetamine. "Our Directorate of Drugs Investigation personnel then negotiated until met the deal", Chief of PR and Press Agency of North Sumatra Regional Police said. After negotiating, the officer finally had a deal. The transaction location was agreed upon in Tebing Tinggi city. At that time, the officer came first to wait for the target, which came and drove a minibus moments later. After showing the order, the undercover officer then arrested the person and seized ten packs allegedly containing amphetamine weighed around 10 kilograms. The suspect was ordered by a man he does not know from Tanjung Balai city. "The suspect and the evidence then transferred to the office of the Directorate of Drugs Investigation of North Sumatra Regional Police for further investigation", Chief of PR and Press Agency of North Sumatra Regional Police said.
