Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck southwest of Seluma Regency, Bengkulu, on Thursday morning (23/7) at approximately 6.40 am.

"#Gempa Mag:4.1, 23-Jul-2026 06:40:40 WIB, Lok:4.46LS, 102.40BT (46 km BaratDaya SELUMA-BENGKULU), Kedlmn:31 Km," the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) announced via its official X account.

According to BMKG, the epicenter was located at coordinates 4.46 South Latitude and 102.40 East Longitude, roughly 46 kilometers southwest of Seluma at a depth of 31 kilometers. The agency noted that initial data processing prioritizes real-time speed, meaning findings remain preliminary and subject to change as more details are finalized. 

No casualties or structural damages have been reported.
