inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Regional Police organized Merdeka Semeru vaccination with target of 5,000 doses for people with disabilities and people with mental disorders (ODGJ) at Mahameru Building, East Java Police Regional Headquarter, Tuesday (08/10/21).
The mass vaccination activity was aimed for 2,700 people with disability and ODGJ, as well as 2,300 for accompanying families.
The implementation involved 74 vaccinators including from Bhayangkara Hospital of East Java Regional Police 45 health workers, Medical and Health Unit of East Java Regional Police 15 health workers, Mobile Brigade Unit of East Java Regional Police 4 health workers, Directorate of Water and Air of East Java Regional Police 5 health workers, Dahlan Hospital 5 health workers and also assisted by personnels from V Brawijaya Regional Militer and from II Military Military Command to the regional level.
East Java Province Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa expressed her gratitude to East Java Regional Police for initiating vaccinations for people with disability and people with mental disorders with all East Java Resort Police. This is part of the breakdown of vaccination expansion for disabled and people with mental health disorder who use sinopharm vaccine as directed Ministry of Health.
"From Ministry of Health, Sinopharm vaccine is specifically dedicated for people with disability and for people with mental disorder," Governor of East Java explained .

Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta, said the East Java Regional Police are in synergy with the entire East Java Regional Leader Communication Forum (Forkopimda), East Java Governor, Brawijaya Regional Military Commander V, Armada II Commander, Attorney General (Kajati), Kalanti, Head of Regional State Intelligence Agency, Regional Secretary and other stakeholders.
"We will synergise with governor and all levels of Forkopimda, responding to people demand on vaccinations," Chief of East Java Regional Police explained.

The level of awareness is very high, and we will continue to carry out independent vaccinations to welcome the Indonesian Independence Day," Police Inspector General Nico Afinta concluded.
