The East Kalimantan Police Mobile Brigade personnel who were on duty there, initiated the ceremony. This ceremony is certainly good news after the attack by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) to TNI and Polri personnel while guarding a church in early May 2022. The flag ceremony itself was held at a football field in the district. The ceremony started at 10.00 WIT which was attended by the Head of Okbibab District, Alfonus Ningdana, who was also the inspector of the ceremony. Meanwhile, Ipda Tanto Aripin was appointed as the ceremony commander. The youths of Okbibab district were also involved as the red and white flag-raising troops. Yanesius Singpanki was asked to be the flag bearer. Meanwhile, Christianus Wasini, Mario Urpon and Unikson Uropmabin were given the responsibility of raising the flag. The head of the Okbibab district, Alfonus Ningdana, admitted that although the condition of the area was not so safe from attacks, the ceremony wen smoothly and safely, and this ceremony was a symbol of unity for its citizens. "We from Okbibab District, no matter what the situation is, are still part of Indonesia. Regardless of the situation, we have carried out a flag ceremony on August 17th," said Alfonus. He was also grateful that during the ceremony there were no security disturbances. So that the ceremony process goes well until the end of the activity. "In this moment of proud being Indonesia, we ask the government, especially the Bintang Mountains Regency Government to look at what are the shortcomings in the Okbibab District," concluded Alfonso Ningdana.
