Inp.polri.go.id - Sangata. The Medical and Health Section of East Kutai Sub-regionalPolice carried out comprehensive food safety inspections on meals distributed under the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG).
The checks were conducted at the Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) kitchen before distribution to 1,335 beneficiaries, including students, teachers, and Posyandu integrated health posts participants.
Led by Second Brigadier Ibrahim, the team tested meals through chemical and organoleptic analysis to ensure they were free from harmful substances such as cyanide, formalin, borax, arsenic, and nitrites. Organoleptic tests examined food quality based on appearance, color, smell, and taste.
The menu included rice, fried egg with oyster sauce, tempeh and tofu stir-fry, sautéed carrots and bok choy, fried bananas, and UHT milk. Special menus were prepared for recipients with food allergies.
East Kutai Police Chief Superintendent Fauzan Arianto said that strict monitoring is essential to guarantee the program’s success.
“We want every recipient to receive food that is safe, nutritious, and suitable for consumption,” he said.
The distribution was supported by two operational cars, ensuring all designated locations received meals as planned.
