Fatalities from the East Bekasi Station Train Collision Increased: Police

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police have revealed that the death toll from the Commuter Line (KRL) collision with the Argo Bromo Anggrek long-distance train at East Bekasi Station, West Java, has increased. A total of 15 people have been confirmed dead in the incident.

"(The number of victims) is 15," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metro Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, Tuesday (4/28/2026).

He detailed that 10 bodies are at Bhayangkara Hospital, three at the Bekasi Regional Hospital, one at Bela Hospital, and one at Mitra Hospital. Meanwhile, 76 people were injured.

"The total number of victims is 91," he said.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:52 PM WIB last night (April 27, 2026) at kilometer 28+920. The incident involved PLB 5568A (CL KPB–CKR), which was struck by PLB 4B, the Argo Bromo Anggrek train, en route from Gambir to Surabaya Pasar Turi.
