Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Finance plans to issue housing state bonds (SBN) to support President Prabowo Subianto’s administration’s target of building 3 million homes annually, focusing on low-income households .

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said on Thursday (20/2/2025) that the bonds would specifically finance affordable housing for low-income households. 

“We’re working to enhance support for low-income communities through the issuance of housing SBN, primarily allocated for their financing needs,” she said during a press briefing, as quoted by antaranews.com.

This initiative modifies the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme, expanding its scale. The ministry is collaborating with Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and state-owned bank association (Himbara) to strengthen housing finance, backed by Rp 80 trillion in Minimum Statutory Reserves-based credit facilities.

BI Governor Perry Warjiyo added that BI would bolster funding by purchasing housing bonds on the secondary market and providing macroprudential liquidity incentives (KLM), raised from Rp 23.19 trillion to Rp 80 trillion, to support the sector.

The housing sector is seen as a key driver for national economic growth, boosting industries like cement, steel, and construction labor. President Prabowo’s Astacita program targets 2 million rural homes and 1 million urban homes annually.
