First Day of Operation Zebra Jaya, Metro Jaya Regional Police Records 194 Violations

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police reveals that on the first day of Operation Zebra Jaya 2024, police have taken action against 194 traffic violators.

“Of the 194 violators, 164 of them were only given warning,” says the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi when confirmed on Tuesday (10/15/2024).

In his official statement, for the violations mostly committed by the two-wheeled vehicles is not using the national standard helmet with 74 violations, followed by going against the traffic flow with 72 violations.

“Meanwhile, there are 15 violations for ignoring the traffic signs and also 23 others,” says Ade.

On the other hand, most violations committed by the four-wheeled vehicles are not using seat belts while driving.

Ade says in carrying out the operations, police not only did the preventive, preemptive, education, and dissemination approaches, as they also spread stickers, banners, and leaflets around the city.

"There were 307 dissemination activities and distribution and installation of banners, leaflets, stickers and billboards during Operation Zebra Jaya," he explained.
