Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. A Super Air Jet flight from Jakarta to Banda Aceh was diverted to Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra, on Friday (6/9/2024) due to a power supply disruption at Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport, Aceh Besar. 

Passengers were informed that the diversion was necessary as the Aceh airport could not grant landing permission because of the power issue, according to antaranews.com.

Andika Kusdwiyanka, Acting Executive General Manager of the airport, confirmed that the power disruption affected some services. 

However, other flights, including Super Air Jet IU996 and Garuda GA140, landed safely. Airport operations have returned to normal following the use of backup generators
