inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Joint Integrated Law Enforcement Team (Gakkumdu) of Banten Province and Serang Regency arrested SD (35) who is suspected of money politics. SD admitted to being part of the winning team of Candidate Pair 01 AH and NN which participated in the Re-vote (PSU) in Serang Regency.

Gakkumdu Investigator Coordinator, Police Assistant Superintendent Endang Sugiarto, stated that the suspect was arrested in Pagadungan Village, Curug Salanjana Village, Gunungsari District, Serang Regency. The suspect used the method of persuading the people of Pagadungan Village to vote for Candidate Pair 01 by giving IDR 25,000 per person.

"The Joint Gakkumdu Team of Banten Province and Serang Regency has secured one perpetrator carrying IDR 450,000 which is suspected to be used to bribe the people in Pagadungan village to vote for Election Candidate Number 1. Each person was bribed for IDR 25,000," explained Endang on Saturday (4/19/2025).

Endang explained that the suspect obtained the money from a man named Suheli who is a resident of Kakabu Village, Gunungsari District. 

As of now, police have obtained the evidence from the two perpetrators, which are 18 IDR 20,000 bills and 18 IDR 5,000 bills, along with a Samsung cellphone.

"The Gakkumdu Team of Serang Regency will conduct further investigations of the alleged perpetrators," he said.
