inp.polri.go.id - Bali. The Bali Regional Police revealed that as of this morning, long lines of vehicles were still crossing to Gilimanuk Harbor. As of 10:30 a.m. the long queues of vehicles extended to kilometer 27.
"As of this morning, the queues of vehicles still extend to kilometer 27 heading from Tabanan," said the Bali Regional Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Turmudi, Monday (3/16/2026).
Turmudi explained that from the direction of Buleleng, queues have persisted since last night, reaching 8.9 kilometers. Google Maps recorded the travel time to the harbor from the tail end of the queue at 1 hour and 44 minutes.
He explained that the Traffic Management Task Force, along with the relevant police stations, continues to manage traffic. The Bali Regional Police Traffic Directorate has also issued several warnings in advance urging the public to take advantage of the best time to return home, as the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holidays are close together, potentially causing traffic congestion.
"We are continuing to deploy personnel at the Cekik intersection and patrol to ensure orderly queues and to wake up drivers sleeping in their cars so they can get back on the road," said Turmudi.
