Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Drugs Investigation Task Force of Serang Police uncovers synthetic drugs, or Gorilla Tobacco home industry networks in an apartment at Sentul, Bogor, West Java. In his official statement, Serang Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Wiwin Setiawan said that police arrested two suspects who made the drugs and another one who supplied the gorilla tobacco in three different locations. The two drug makers are AS (27), arrested in an apartment at Sentul, Bogor, and IH (23) who were arrested at Bojonggede, Bogor. Meanwhile, RF (31), the supplier, was arrested in Duren Sawit. Police also confiscated proofs of equipment and ingredients of gorilla tobacco, and also two sacks of methamphetamine weighing 177 grams, two sacks of weed, three sacks of gorilla tobacco, three electric scales, and two handphones. “The three suspects were arrested last August. AS and IH produced the gorilla tobacco while RF, who also produce the tobacco, was supplying the ingredients of gorilla tobacco and distributed it in Greater Jakarta area,” he said, quoted from Antaranews, Wednesday (9/13/2023). Wiwin states that the uncovering of the home industry began with the arrest of TR (20) in Serang City, thanks to the report of the community on March 2023 with the evidence of 10 grams of Gorilla Tobacco. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Adjutant Michael K Tandayu, adds that the AS, IH, and RF began their gorilla tobacco business since 2022 in AS apartment. They market their product through Instagram social media.
