Inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo.  Brigadier General Pudji Prasetijanto Hadi, the Deputy Chief of Gorontalo Regional Police, asserted the imperative of maintaining neutrality among the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian Military personnel as the upcoming general elections draw near. "President and the INP Chief have made it clear: we must remain neutral. In several regions, there have been incidents of non-neutral behavior among the authorities personnel. We must ensure this doesn't happen in Gorontalo, particularly within the Gorontalo Police and its affiliates," he said during the morning roll call on Monday (22/1/2024). Furthermore, Deputy Police Chief Pudji outlined the duties assigned to the police by the state and the law, primarily focusing on the supervision and security aspects. This includes safeguarding the electoral process and ensuring the secure movement of election logistics. "Wherever there is election logistics, we'll be there. Once again, our duty is solely supervision and security; there are no other tasks," he said. Addressing the importance of collaboration, General Pudji urged his subordinates to strengthen their cooperation with the military. "Execute this synergy effectively. This collaboration is crucial to ensure that the responsibilities bestowed upon us by the state for the success of the elections can proceed smoothly and successfully," he said.. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
