inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti followed President Prabowo Subianto's directive to increase the number of beneficiaries of the educational unit revitalization program by 60,000 schools.

Abdul stated that his office had previously allocated the 2026 budget to revitalize 11,000 educational units. However, the President subsequently increased that number by 60,000 schools, bringing the target for revitalizing educational units this year to 71,000.

"For 2026, we have allocated the funds for the revitalization of 11,700 schools in the State Budget for educational units. However, the President has repeatedly stated on various occasions that this year's revitalization will be increased by 60,000, bringing the total to 71,000 educational units," explained Abdul on Wednesday (1/14/2026).

With this increase, he conveyed the President's hope that there will be no more improper schools by 2029.

"With this figure, we hope that by the end of 2029, all schools in Indonesia, as the President often says, will have no shoddy buildings, no leaking roofs, and no dirty toilets," Minister Abdul emphasized.

Through the educational unit revitalization program and other Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education programs, he aims to realize quality education for all and become a joint movement to create better Indonesian children.
