inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Tourism has prepared several tour packages to welcome the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday to further boost public mobility during this period, which has the potential to stimulate tourist movement and economic growth in various regions.
"We believe this movement will have a positive economic impact for the community, especially for MSME entrepreneurs," said Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism, on Thursday (3/19/2026).
Marthini explained that Eid al-Fitr is one of the periods with the highest travel mobility in Indonesia. This condition significantly impacts tourist movement, so a joint effort is needed to ensure smooth travel.
This increased mobility not only impacts the transportation sector but also opens up opportunities for broader economic turnover among the community, especially for MSME entrepreneurs, who are a vital part of the tourism ecosystem.
To increase tourist movement, the Ministry of Tourism has coordinated and curated various tour packages for the public to enjoy.
These packages were developed in collaboration with around 40 tourism industry players and are primarily focused on air transportation users.
The public is encouraged to travel domestically as part of the "Proud to Travel in Indonesia" campaign. This step not only expands the choice of destinations for tourists but also strengthens the resilience of the national tourism sector by optimizing domestic potential.
Furthermore, Marthini emphasized the crucial role of online travel agents (OTAs) in providing quality services to the public. She emphasized the importance of providing accurate information, especially regarding land, sea, and air transportation ticket prices during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
"If there are any conditions on the ground, we hope these can be communicated effectively so that they can be clarified in accordance with applicable policies," explained Marthini.
