The misleading social media post included a photo of the President alongside a fabricated caption demanding citizens blindly submit to government policy.

A digital verification by turnbackhoax.id confirmed that no credible news outlets or official government records back this claim. A reverse image search via Google Lens revealed that the attached photograph was entirely manipulated out of context.

The original image was taken by Antara News on 16 January 2025, during the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin Indonesia) National Leadership Consolidation in Jakarta. In that original press briefing, President Prabowo was answering journalists' questions regarding the utilization of zakat funds for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. The President made absolutely no remarks or policies restricting public demonstrations or freedom of assembly regarding fuel prices.
