Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa reiterated the government’s unity in implementing the Transfer to Regions (TKD) restructuring policy, stressing that it aims to improve regional fiscal discipline, not to burden local administrations.
“The policy is not an indiscriminate budget cut but an effort to make regional spending more focused on programs that directly benefit the public,” Minister Tito said on Sunday (12/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Minister Purbaya added that the total allocation of Rp1,300 trillion for regional funding remains unchanged, with part of it now managed through ministry spending to ensure efficiency and accountability.
Both ministries vowed to assist local governments facing fiscal pressure, provided they streamline budgets and prioritize essential expenditures.
