Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian U-20 national football team has surged to the top of Group F in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers after defeating East Timor 3-1 on Friday (27/9/2024) at Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium. 

It marks Indonesia's second consecutive victory, giving them six points and a goal difference of six, as reported by antaranews.com.

Yemen trails closely in second place, also with six points, following a 3-0 win over the Maldives. However, Yemen has a slightly lower goal difference of five. East Timor and the Maldives have both seen their chances of advancing to the finals slip away after suffering two losses.

Indonesia and Yemen are set to compete in a pivotal match on Sunday, which will determine who secures an automatic spot in the finals as the group champion.

The final tournament will take place from 6 to 23 February 2025, featuring the ten group winners, five best runners-up, and the host nation, China, from the ten qualifying groups.
