inp.polri.go.id - Bangkok. The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is opening up opportunities for cooperation between the media and Thailand through the Journalist Visit Program (JVP) by inviting several national media companies to Thailand.

"The most important thing is how we can facilitate communication and smooth sharing of mutually beneficial activity programs in educating the public," said Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand Rachmat Budiman, quoted by Antaranews on Wednesday (5/7/2025).

According to Rachmat, exploration of cooperation must be designed carefully and thoroughly so that it would be beneficial for both parties.

Rachmat explained that a detailed cooperation plan is needed with partners in Thailand so that the relationship can be sustainable, including mutual use of media space, increasing human resource capacity, exchanging news, and business cooperation.

Cooperation between media institutions, according to Rachmat, can be in the form of cooperation on activities or programs, to business cooperation.

The JVP program is initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs periodically with the aim of improving relations and cooperation between media and other countries.

The plan is for two media institutions and one international correspondent association to be explored by the program in Thailand.

In addition to ANTARA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also invited the Chief Editor of Radio Elshinta Haryo Ristamaji to Thailand. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also invited the media Kompas and Metro TV to Singapore to explore cooperation.
