inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of General Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police (INP) is investigating a complaint regarding the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The Director of General Crimes of INP Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, said that the complaint was filed by the Ulama and Activist Defense Team (TPUA) chaired by Eggy Sudjana.

"As per letter number Special/TPUA/XII/2024 dated December 9, 2024 regarding the complaint regarding public findings (and from various social media as a form of notoire feiten) of legal defects in Jokowi's S1 diploma by the Ulama and Activist Defense Team," he said.

In the investigation of the report, the police have examined 26 witnesses. In addition to examining witnesses, police have also examined a number of documents, including documents related to Jokowi's initial entry as a student at the UGM Faculty of Forestry until passing the exam.

"We are conducting laboratory tests on the initial documents of him entering as a student at the UGM Faculty of Forestry until passing the thesis exam with a comparison of documents from classmates who entered in 1980 and graduated in 1985," said Djuhandhani.

Previously, on April 30, 2025, Jokowi had visited Metro Jaya Regional Police to report the allegations of a fake diploma that were accused of him.
