Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior have agreed to strengthen cooperation in combating transnational crimes, including drug trafficking, through the 2nd Joint Committee INP–MOI Kingdom of Saudi Arabia li on Thursday (30/10/2025).
INP Deputy Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo said President Prabowo Subianto has prioritized the fight against narcotics, smuggling, and online gambling as key pillars of national stability.
“These challenges cannot be tackled sectorally. Strong international cooperation is essential,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Dedi noted the growing trend of high-tech drug misuse, such as inhaled ketamine and etomidate mixed into vape liquids, calling for enhanced research, intelligence, and forensic collaboration.
Saudi head delegate Major General Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamad welcomed the partnership, emphasizing shared commitment to fight narcotics, extremism, and cross-border crimes.
Both countries signed minutes of meeting outlining the first phase of joint narcotics enforcement in December 2025, marking a major step in police diplomacy and regional security cooperation.
