Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Immigration has simplified its visa classification system from 133 to 110 indexes to improve efficiency and better serve foreign applicants, Acting Director General Yuldi Yusman announced on Friday (13/6/2025).
“One major breakthrough is the C7C visa for cultural, artistic, and non-musical skill-based visits, which allows foreigners to showcase their expertise in areas like magic performances, fan meet-ups, and televised cooking demos,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
For short stays under 30 days, A1 visas now cover tourism, business, and medical visits, consolidating previously separate categories. Meanwhile, the B1 visa replaces the Visa on Arrival (VoA) for similar purposes and is extendable once.
To support development in Indonesia’s new capital, E28F visas target foreign investors, while E28G is designated for representatives of foreign parent companies operating in Indonesia.
Work visas have also been streamlined: from 31 indexes to 6, with E23 covering all skilled foreign workers backed by companies, and E23U/E23V for those sponsored by non-corporate entities.
