Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Mardani Ali Sera said that the Indonesian parliament will be a peace mediator for countries in conflict at the 19th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) 2025.

"We will be a peace mediator. We do not negate the existing conflict, but put all the things on the table, look at it from all perspectives and we look for common ground, similarities," said Mardani when met on the sidelines of the 19th PUIC Conference, parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/13/2025).

Not only about Palestine, he said that conflicts between countries that are trying to be mediated in one of the committees at the 19th PUIC Conference also include the India-Pakistan conflict to Russia-Ukraine.

In mediating the conflict between countries, the Chairman of the BKSAP DPR emphasized that the Indonesian parliament would not side with any particular party, but focus on resolving the conflict through peace.

"We want to cover both sides, and cover the multiside. The important thing is to find a solution based on peace," he said.
