Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia will submit a list of preferred tariffs for US imports ahead of the second round of reciprocal trade negotiations with the United States, scheduled for June 2025 in Washington, D.C.
“We are committed to providing a list of preferred tariffs for US commodities before the second round of negotiations,” said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto in a statement on Tuesday (3/6/2025) after a meeting with US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer at the OECD 2025 Ministerial Council Meeting in Paris o.
He said Indonesia’s aim to finalize a tariff agreement by July and noted that the government had already taken strategic steps since the April discussions in the US, including reviewing a draft agreement proposed by Washington, as reported by antaranews.com.
The minister highlighted efforts to boost US agricultural and energy imports to improve trade balance and stressed the need for constructive, results-oriented dialogue to resolve tariff and non-tariff barriers, including digital trade, rules of origin, and economic security.
