Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia is guaranteed to win the women’s doubles title at the 2024 Taipei Open, as two Indonesian female doubles, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Jesita Putri Miantoro/Febi Setianingrum, will face off in the final on Sunday (8/9/2024).
Ana/Tiwi secured their spot in the final of the BWF Super 300 tournament after defeating Thailand’s third-seeded pair, Laksika Kanlaha/Phataimas Muenwong, 25-23, 21-16, in a tough semifinal match on Saturday, according to antaranewscom.
The match was intense, especially in the first game, where the Thai pair managed to force four deuces after trailing 19-17. However, Ana/Tiwi maintained their focus and won the first game 25-23.
In the second game, Ana/Tiwi dominated with more aggressive play, winning 21-16.
Jesita/Febi also advanced to the final after defeating Thailand’s top-seeded pair, Benyapa Aimsaard/Nuntakarn Aimsaard, in a hard-fought rubber match, 17-21, 21-9, 21-18.
In addition to the women’s doubles, Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani reached the women’s singles final after beating Taiwan’s Chiu Pin-Chiang 16-21, 21-16, 21-11.
