Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia won its first-ever Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships (BAMTC) title after a 3-1 victory over China in the final at Conson Gymnasium, Qingdao, China on Sunday (16/2/2025).

The decisive point came from men's doubles pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Daniel Marthin, who dominated Chen Xu Jun and Huang Di in straight games, 21-15, 21-9. It was Indonesia’s best result in the tournament since its inception, surpassing a previous semifinal finish in 2019, according to antaranews.com.

Earlier, mixed doubles duo Rinov Rivaldy and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti secured the opening win, followed by men's singles player Alwi Farhan, who delivered a strong performance against Hu Zhe An. Despite China narrowing the gap with a women's singles victory, Fikri and Daniel sealed Indonesia’s historic triumph.
