Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has signed Government Regulation No. 6/2025, ensuring workers affected by layoffs receive 60% of their salary for up to six months.
The policy, outlined in Article 21 of the revised Job Loss Insurance (JKP) program, bases payments on the last reported salary to state-owned employment insurance agency, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, with a cap of Rp 5 million, as reported by antaranews.com on Sunday (16/2/2025).
The regulation also reduces JKP contributions from 0.46% to 0.36% of monthly wages, funded by the government and JKK premium adjustments.
In addition, if a bankrupt company fails to pay JKP premiums for up to six months, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will still cover benefits, though employers remain liable for outstanding contributions.
