Inp.polri.go.id - Candon City. Indonesia’s women’s volleyball team began their AVC Women’s Volleyball Cup 2026 campaign with a 3-1 victory over Iran at Candon City Arena, Ilocos Sur, on Saturday (6/6/2026).
Indonesia dominated the opening set 25-15, but Iran responded strongly in the second, winning 25-21 to level the match. The Red-and-White regained control in the third set with sharper attacks and disciplined defense, securing another 25-21 win.
The fourth set saw tight competition, with Iran pressing hard. However, Indonesia maintained consistency and closed the match 25-22, sealing their first win in Group B.
The result boosts Indonesia’s confidence as they continue their journey in the tournament, marking a strong start against tough opposition.
