Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and Thai police have joined forces to arrest international drug network leader Fredy Pratama following a meeting involving law enforcement from Thailand, Malaysia, and Australia, held in Malaysia at the end of April 2024.
Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa, The INP’s Criminal Investigation Agency’s Director of the Drug Crime announced on Monday (6/5/2024) that Thai authorities will handle the investigation into money laundering against Fredy Pratama's Thai wife, who resides in Thailand. Thai Police will also work on arresting Fredy Pratama, who is believed to be hiding in the forests of Thailand.
Chief Mukti confirmed Fredy's presence in Thailand and his involvement in drug trafficking, despite being an international fugitive. Once Frey is arrested, Thai Police will hand him over to Polri since the initial case originated in Indonesia.
Since the "Escoba Indonesia" operation targeting Fredy's drug network began in September 2023, the INP and regional police across Indonesia have arrested 60 suspects linked to the network.
