Indonesian Army and Indonesian Police Joint operation Successfully Shoots Dead the Commander of Pintu Angin Troops, Papuan Armed Criminal Group

Lesmin Waker, Commander of Pintu Angin Troop, part of Armed Criminal Group (KKB) Lekagak Telenggen, was shot dead by Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police (TNI-PPolri) joint troops who were carrying out a hunt operation in Wuloni, Puncak, Papua. Lesmin Waker was the shooter who killed Mobile Brigade (Brimob) member Police First Patrolman Komang, a member of Nemangkawi Special Task Force.Head of the Nemangkawi Public Relations Task Force, Police Grand Commissioner M. Iqbal, Thursday (13 May 2021) said the location of the gunfire was in the vicinity of Kampung Wuloni, which is suspected of being the hiding place for the Lekagak Talenggeng terrorist group. The evidence that was successfully secured by the TNI-Polri troops was in an Honai owned by Lesmin Waker, including 1 unit of the military helmet, documents, various sharp weapons, arrows and cellphones. Apart from the items mentioned above, he said, TNI-Polri troops, the day before Wednesday (12/5/2021), took action in Tagalowa village with shooting disturbances and were successfully driven away. Police Grand Commissioner M Iqbal continued, with the evidence that was successfully secured by controlling the Tagalowa camp, including obtaining evidence of three Morning Star flags (Papuan Flag), one of printed book Menuju Papua Baru (Towards the New Papuan) authored by Dr Benny Giay, four axes, three crowbars, four machetes, one hammer, 46 arrows and one bow. The Head of the Public Relations Task Force added that the chase was still being carried out by TNI-Polri personnel after the control of Camp Wuloni and Camp Tagalowa.
