Indonesian Home Affairs Ministry reminds State Civil Apparatus (ASN) not to took selfies with hand signs that could be misinterptreted by others showing support to one of the candidates. “Taking selfies along with election participants with hand signs or any pose that implicitly showing supports is forbidden,” says the Daily Executive of Director General of Politics and General Government (Dirjen Polpum) Togap Simangunsong, Monday (27/11/23). Togap states there are also other rules that has to be complied by ASN during elections such as became the speakers in any politic party event, attending politic party declaration event, and upload photos with election participants. “And also you are barred from removing any banners, billboards, flags of election participants, without the knowledge of political parties. You are also prohibited from installing banners that shows your allegiance to one of the candidates,” adds Togap. He hopes that all the rules that has been designed to maintain 2024 Election neutrality would be followed by all ASN, police, and military force. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
