Directorate of General Criminal Offences of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police released the internal application system called Integrated Election Criminal Offences Handling Application of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Republic of Indonesia (SIAGAITUJARI). The SIAGAITUJARI application would connect the central to regional Police headquarters and reach 34 Regional Police and 493 Departmental Police across Indonesia. This step is being taken to prepare for the 2024 Election, remembering that the upcoming Election would be different compared to the previous one, such as the merge of Presidential, Legislative, and Regional Leaders Election in the same year. "SIAGAITUJARI is an innovative breakthrough as the base of application systems that are important in supporting the integrated election criminal offences and also as the regional internal control from Departmental, Regional, to Central Police Headquarters", Chief of Unit 4 of Subdirectorate 4 of the Directorate of General Criminal Offences of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sri Lita Sari, said on Monday (25/10/21). Besides, Indonesian National Police also prepares Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) of Election Criminal Offences Handling, which is the handling method for the election criminal offences for the election criminal offence investigators in Indonesia. Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sri Lita Sari said that the steps taken are the effort of National Police transformation by utilising the latest knowledge and technology to materialise modern Indonesian National Police, as the instruction of President Joko Widodo in his speech commemorating the 75th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day on July 1, 2021. "The handling of election criminal offences require instruments that are clear, exact, and in accordance with responsible policy regulations and could be used for realising the investigators of election criminal offences that are professional, proportional, and procedural", she said. She also explained that, so far, the reports from the public on election criminal offences is received by Integrated Law Enforcer, which is the joint forces of members of the Election Supervision Agency, Indonesian National Police, and Office of the Attorney General. The report is then transmitted to Indonesian National Police if there's any suspicion of election criminal offences. Meanwhile, the Chief of Subdirectorate 4 of the Directorate of General Criminal Offences of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police, which is also the mentor of the project of change by Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sri Lita Sari, explained that during the Election 2024, every member in the Integrated Law Enforcer would be equipped with SIAGAITUJARI application. Afterwards, the report on election criminal offences received by the personnel would be put into the application in real-time and processed by the Police that has been integrated into 34 Regional Police and 493 Departmental Police and could be monitored by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police. Shobarmen deemed that SIAGAITUJARI could input report data across Indonesia through integrated, in sync, quick, easy, on target, efficient, and real-time way. He said that the SIAGAITUJARI application simulation is being conducted in five regional police: Aceh, Central Java, Central Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, and West Papua Regional Police and also attended by the General Criminal Investigation Director or the representatives, internal stakeholders of the Attorney General's Office, and Election Supervision Agency through zoom meeting on October 7, 2021, at the meeting room of Subdirectorate 4 of General Criminal Offences Directorate of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police.
