Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government has confirmed that all Indonesian citizens in Thailand and Cambodia are safe, following recent armed tensions near the two countries' shared border.
“So far, everything is safe. Our deputy for foreign political affairs continues to monitor the situation,” said Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus on Friday (25/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Phnom Penh confirmed there are no Indonesian casualties as reported by Ambassador to Cambodia Santo Darmosumarto during a briefing with Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn.
Cambodia reported casualties on its side but confirmed that no foreigners were harmed. The Embassy continues to monitor Indonesian citizens residing in Oddar Meanchey, although exact numbers remain unclear.
The Cambodian government has called for peaceful resolution and requested UN and ASEAN involvement.
