inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo urged the online motorcycle taxi (ojol) community to work together to maintain public security and order. He made the call while leading the joint roll call with the online motorcycle taxi community at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta on Monday (10/20/2025).
Observations at the location revealed hundreds of drivers in attendance wearing blue vests emblazoned with the words "Guard Jakarta with the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police."
The atmosphere at the roll call became even more solemn when the INP Chief symbolically presented helmets and vests to the online driver representatives.
"This activity is a strategic momentum that renews the spirit of INP and the online motorcycle taxi community to maintain the security and order of our beloved nation," said General Sigit in his remarks.
He emphasized that ojol's role is not only as a transportation service provider, but also a vital part of the national economy.
Furthermore, General Sigit noted the importance of the online motorcycle taxi community in maintaining order alongside the police.
"We want to enhance our community-based policing approach. Security and order are the shared responsibility of the entire nation, including the online motorcycle taxi community," he added.
During the roll call, the motorcycle taxi drivers also read a joint declaration committing to maintaining security in Jakarta.
