Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto instructed all regional police chiefs across Indonesia to map out drug-prone areas and target drug kingpins in their respective jurisdictions to intensify anti-narcotics enforcement.
He said that region-wide mapping is essential to ensure precise targeting, especially in areas identified as active distribution hubs. Following the directive, regional police forces initiated raids in targeted zones, including Kampung Ambon and Kampung Bahari in Jakarta.
"I have instructed all regional police chiefs to map out drug havens in their territories, as well as the drug kingpins," Chief Suyudi said.
A joint raid by the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in Kampung Ambon on Thursday (15/10/2026), resulted in seven arrests, seized sharp weapons, and small clips of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Similar operations across North Sumatra, Riau, Makassar, Palu, Palembang, and Palangka Raya led to over 100 detentions.
