During an event commemorating the 68th Anniversary of the Bhayangkara Traffic Corps in Serpong, South Tangerang, on Monday (25/9/23), he emphasized the need for coordination among traffic police to manage potentially conflicting campaign events and ensure adherence to traffic rules. "I also request the implementation of an efficient cooling system, given the National Traffic Police's expertise in information technology," General Sigit said, highlighting the Traffic Police Corp's crucial role in providing security for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates. Inspector General Police Firman Santyabudi, the Head of the Traffic Police Corp, revealed that his corp has conducted various security exercises in preparation for safeguarding the elected presidential and vice-presidential candidates, considered as a national priority. "The traffic police will be responsible for ensuring the safety and movement of people and goods during various election-related activities, including ballot distribution, campaign events, and candidate movements," he was quoted by antaranews.com as saying.
