“There are 1,231 security personnel involved,” said the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed on Monday (7/22/2024).

Susatyo also invites to demonstrants to also respect other people’s rights who did not participate in the demonstration by complying with the law.

All personnel involved in the security operation guaranteed to always act persuasively, unprovoked, and prioritized negotiation approach. Personnel are also instructed not to carry firearms.

“Serve the people who also want to voice their criticism with sincerity,” advised the police chief to the personnel.
