Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Head of the Community Services Corps, Inspector General Mardiyono, praised the South Sumatra Regional Police for exceeding national targets in food security and community policing programs.
During an official visit to Palembang on Tuesday (29/9/2026), he presented two operational vehicles to support local police officers.
"Good achievements are not the end, but our responsibility to maintain, improve, and provide tangible benefits to the community," Chief Mardiyono said.
South Sumatra Police distributed 230 percent of its rice allocation target through cheap food markets, ranking third nationally. The region also reactivated 224 dormant neighborhood watch posts, known as Satkamlin, achieving 108 percent of its target, and pledged 81 hectares for garlic cultivation to support national food self-sufficiency.
South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho instructed all local police office chiefs to coordinate with local administrations and evaluate progress weekly to ensure sustainable impact.
