inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed that they will hold joint viewings of the 2026 World Cup. These free viewings will be held at police stations throughout Indonesia.

The INP Chief made this statement after meeting with TVRI representatives at INP Headquarters in South Jakarta on Wednesday (6/10/2026). The meeting also discussed a number of collaborations, including joint viewings, permits, and security.

"We certainly welcome the planned collaboration to support the World Cup joint viewing program. Coincidentally, we agreed earlier that we, the police, will help encourage the public to participate in joint viewings with us across the country," he said.

According to him, holding joint viewings at police stations also provides a platform for entertainment for people, especially football fans. It also stimulates the economy of MSMEs in their respective regions.

"This can be entertainment for the public and also help revitalize the regional economy through the support of local MSMEs," he said.

In this World Cup public viewing, police can also incorporate public education on maintaining and safeguarding public order and security.
