inp.polri.go.id - East Java. In preparation for Operation Patuh 2026, the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps continues to prioritize a modern, transparent law enforcement approach oriented toward public compliance.

One of the measures being strengthened is the utilization of the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system as a solution to public concerns about the traffic violation enforcement process, which has historically been synonymous with direct interaction between officers and violators.

Through the ETLE system, law enforcement is conducted electronically and using technology, allowing violations to be detected and processed without direct contact in the field. 

This approach is expected to increase the objectivity of enforcement, reduce the potential for irregularities, and provide a greater sense of justice for the public.

To support the implementation of Operation Patuh 2026, the INP Traffic Corps is optimizing its various ETLE devices, including static ETLE, Mobile Handheld ETLE, and Drone Patrol ETLE. This technology allows for broader, faster, and more accurate monitoring of various types of traffic violations.

Mobile Handheld ETLE makes it easier for officers to conduct mobile electronic enforcement in various locations. 

Meanwhile, the Drone ETLE, equipped with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, is capable of conducting aerial surveillance and reading vehicle license plates automatically and in real time, including detecting odd-even traffic violations, road marking violations, and various other forms of traffic violations.

In his statement, Inspector General. Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the digital transformation through ETLE represents police's commitment to providing a more professional, transparent, and accountable traffic law enforcement system.

"Utilizing ETLE is a strategic step to meet public expectations for objective, technology-based law enforcement," he said.
