inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP) is strengthening public services by improving complaint response, optimizing the 110 hotline services, and ensuring the smooth distribution of logistics and fuel.

This step is one of the focuses of the Head of the INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Aries Syahbudin, after being inaugurated on October 12, 2026. He emphasized the importance of fast, professional, humane, and safety-oriented police services.

"The presence of the police is not just about being present. The police give meaning to that presence. So, what they do is felt by the public; the presence of traffic police is truly needed by the public," said Aries Syahbudin in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday (10/17/2026).

Aries emphasized that the presence of traffic police must provide tangible benefits to road users. Personnel are not only tasked with enforcing regulations, but also helping to ease congestion, handle accidents, maintain order, and provide assistance to people experiencing difficulties on the road.

To improve ease of access to services, the INP Traffic Corps is also promoting the optimization of the 110 emergency service. Through this service, it is hoped that the public will be able to more easily contact the police when they need assistance.

This service improvement must be supported by personnel readiness, effective coordination, and follow-up on each report according to conditions on the ground.

In addition to speed of response, Aries emphasized the importance of professionalism, transparency, and accountability in carrying out all duties. A humanistic approach must go hand in hand with discipline and firmness in law enforcement.

In the area of traffic management, INP Traffic Corps is also strengthening security for the distribution of logistics, basic necessities, and fuel to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles transporting public needs.

These efforts are being carried out through personnel readiness, mapping of congestion-prone areas, and coordination with various stakeholders to anticipate disruptions to mobility and the distribution of goods.

Aries also requested that all levels of government translate the directives of INP Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto into concrete operational steps. Each work unit is expected to be able to identify traffic problems in their respective areas and determine solutions tailored to the needs of the community.

Coordination with local governments, road managers, transportation business actors, and related agencies is also an important part of improving travel safety and addressing various traffic problems.
