inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps will use all law enforcement equipment and methods to catch the traffic violators. Starting from ticketing, warnings, legal sanctions, static and mobile Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), to face recognition technology.

The Law Enforcement Director of INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso, said the corps will continue to develop the technology in enforcing the law on the road.

"We are enforcing the law starting from giving warnings to conventional ticketing, then followed with ETLE ticketing," he said on Tuesday (10/22/2024).

Furthermore, he also invited the public to work together in ensuring traffic safety for all of its users.

Through Operation Zebra, the Traffic Corps hopes that public awareness to obey traffic rules is improved.

He also emphasized that strict law enforcement is not only aimed at disciplining but also saving lives. "This encourages the building of traffic rules compliance culture," he said.

In the implementation of Operation Zebra, strict law enforcement is the main approach for the operation with a proportion of 50 percent. Meanwhile, preemptive and preventive approaches will each receive a portion of 25 percent.
